The Event
The Marlborough Kids Fun Triathlon is the perfect way for children & young adults, aged 5–18 to discover the excitement of triathlon in a friendly, supportive and non-competitive environment.
Taking place at the stunning Marlborough College in Wiltshire, young participants will take on a swim, cycle and run, with distances designed to be achievable for a wide range of abilities. The focus is on having fun, being active and enjoying the sense of achievement that comes from completing all three disciplines.
The event takes place within the grounds of Marlborough College, with a pool swim and safe grass cycle and run courses. Friendly marshals will be on hand throughout the event to guide and encourage participants, helping make the experience enjoyable and reassuring for both children and parents.
Every child who completes the event will receive an official Kids Fun Triathlon finisher’s medal, presented on the finish line. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new, challenge themselves and create a sporting memory they can be proud of.

Entry for the Marlborough Kids Fun Triathlon is also available via UK Charity Triathlon, with free registration included, where you can register an entry and secure a place by fundraising for your chosen charity.

The swimming pool is 25m long & 18m wide. Shallow end 2m. Deep end 2m.
Race Day Information
Please take some time to read all the event information, we want to ensure that your child has an enjoyable triathlon and you are fully informed about the day.
You can use this information as a guide for your event.
Full and up to date competitor race day information with your race number and start time will be emailed to you 7-10 days before the event. Please check spam/junk folders.
WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OUT - you will collect your race numbers, stickers, etc. at registration on the day.

On the day step by step guide:
- Look for the event signs — they’ll guide you to registration, cycle transition area and swim start.
- Once you have parked, collect your wristband, race number, cycle and helmet stickers from the registration marquee.
- Put on your wristband, attach your race numbers and place your cycle on the cycle rack in the cycle transition area.
- Follow the swim start signs to the swimming pool, where you listen to a short race safety brief before starting the swim.
- The starter will start each person at their individual allocated start time, which you receive 10 days before the event via email.
- Once the swim is completed, exit the pool and head into the cycle transition area, collect your cycle and proceed to the cycle start line.
- You can start when you are ready. Once the cycle leg is completed, place your cycle back on the rack in the cycle transition area.
- Head to the run start line.
- When you have finished your run, turn onto the finish alley and through the finish line to the cheers of the crowd. Then step onto the finisher stage to receive your well-earned medal.
- (Children’s Triathlon Only) Parents or guardians can help once the swim is complete, to guide children through the cycle transition area onto the cycle and onto the final run. The only time we don’t allow parents to escort children is along the run finish alley, as it can spoil official photography for other children finishing their triathlon.
Every child will receive their own individual start time.
The times provided above are a rough guide to help you plan any transport/accommodation/childcare needs you may require. These are only a guide and subject to change.

Why take on the challenge alone? Grab your friends, sign up together and train together for your own swim, cycle and run!
Everyone takes on the full triathlon individually, but you can train, encourage and support each other along the way.
It’s even more fun when your friends are taking on the challenge too!
