The Pink Wave

Jessica Edwards, Sports Team Executive from Cancer Research UK:

‘Cancer Research UK are really excited to be the official charity partner for the UK Triathlon series and even more excited about the creation of the Ladies Pink Wave. Our ambition is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured and without the support of partners like UK Triathlon and the extraordinary generosity of the people taking part in these events, our life-saving work wouldn’t be possible. THANK YOU'.

I recently entered the Henley Fun Triathlon for the very first time at aged 66. I was extremely nervous and was pleased to complete the course in a very respectable time. I thought it was a great day out and extremely well organised. the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I raised lots of money for my Charity CRY and I definitely plan to compete next year-Body permitting. Sue Cox

Thank you for organising the 2016 Henley Triathlon. Both myself and my son enjoyed our events. There was a bit about 3.5km into the run I was not keen on ;-) but we both finished. I beat last years time and got a PB but not my target time so I had to sign up immediately for another go in 2017 on the day. It was a really friendly atmosphere and the marshals were really helpful. Big thanks to all of them especially the chap who did the safety briefing. Most importantly of all we raised £500 for the BHF and £455 for the charity I ran for, Endemetriosis UK. We'll be back next year. Best regards, Nick Woodley

Ideal novice Sprint triathlon - Really nervous doing this as it was my first, out of the 14 in my briefing group all of us were novices! The event was well organised and welcoming, not too big or scary. Loved the bike course in the sunshine, the run was hard work in the heat!
