Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned triathlete or club triathlete, the Buckinghamshire Triathlon has it all. • Rural Buckinghamshire countryside bike courses
  • Flat grass run course within the grounds of Chesham School

Swimming: The triathlon begins with a pool swim, where participants complete their chosen distance, with everyone having an individual swim start time (based on their swim estimate). This allows competitors to participate alongside others of the same swim ability.

Cycling: After conquering the swim, competitors transition to the cycling stage. The cycling routes winds through the scenic countryside surrounding Chesham. The 20K and 10k courses offer a challenging and visually captivating ride. The 6.5K Fun2Tri route offers flat stretches, turns, and a fun and encouraging course atmosphere.

Running: The final leg takes participants to Chesham's School field for the run section of the triathlon. The field provides an excellent running course, fully grass and flat, allowing athletes to showcase their endurance and determination as they approach the finish line.

The CRUK Wave is aimed at encouraging more participants, of any age, gender or ability, to unite and take on a challenge for the purpose of funding life-saving research into all 200 types of cancer.

This change comes after the success of the UK Triathlon Pink Wave, it reflects the movement towards a more inclusive environment for all participants who want to complete a triathlon at their own speed, whilst raising money for life-saving research.

We want to encourage everyone to have a go! Any age, any ability, just get together for the camaraderie and challenge, whilst raising vital funds for research into beating cancer.

UK Triathlon will donate £10 from every CRUK Wave entry to Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (No. 1089464) and Scotland (No. SC041666)
